Junior Laboratory Technician – Full time (Ref: 4310)

½ñÈճԹϺÚÁÏ is currently recruiting a Junior Laboratory Technician, to support our world class research team in a dynamic biotech company based south of Cambridge, UK.

The successful candidate will join a growing research team within this innovative and expanding company. Your primary responsibilities will be:

  • Ordering of laboratory consumables and stocking up of laboratories.
  • Cleaning and general maintenance of laboratory and laboratory equipment.
  • Safe and proper waste disposal, including liquid and dry waste and Category II dry waste.
  • Co-ordination of incoming and outgoing shipments of chemical and biological reagents.
  • Maintaining databases of consumables and reagents

 

Desirable
  • Minimum 2 A levels (one in science subject).
  • Degree in a biological science.

  • Excellent numeracy and literacy skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently in an organised and methodical fashion
  • High level of IT literacy, including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Flexible approach to change
